What breaks your heart?

When you wake up does your heart beat for something bigger than you?
When you start your day are you thinking about something more than you?
When you have a conversation are you listening or talking mostly about you?
When you go to lunch & pass by that homeless person does it even dawn on you?
When you go back to work does the person you know unemployed even enter your mind?
When you clock out to go back home & click on the TV does your soul even tug at you?
When you get ready to go to bed can you hear the Holy Spirit whisper to spend some time in prayer?
When you dream is it about …. Anything remotely world changing?
When you get inspired is it about anything at all similar to challange yourself or break the mundane in the rest of us?
When you breath is it grace you take in or life your absorbing?
Children in need, homeless in need, marriages in need, single mothers in need, the sick are lonely, the world is hurting so let me ask you…..
WHAT BREAKS YOUR HEART?

Sticking to your game plan

You ever go to an awesome conference, hear great people speak, feel your heart pounding with excitement, have this moment of clarity, realize your life has a great sense of purpose, direction, your motivated, serious this time about doing something real, life changing, except..hold up, this happened to you last year too, whah? How did I get here again?

Yes, it happens to many, many people, it’s called…hmmm, well many words can fill in the __________ but it seems it’s harder than it looks to put words into ACTION. Here are a few simple things I have done to make sure I NEVER let this happen to me ever again because I too suffered from (forgetful awesome moments of powerful clarity & inspirational life altering moments of directional something or others)

1. Journal- Write what you FEEL down. Same day. This has been the very best way for me to record a very real experience, it verifies and forces my mind to confirm if what I felt was just emotional hype or what I felt was real conviction. I write down what I felt, what I want to do and why.

2. Tell someone- This almost forces you to put it into action, taking you one step farther from thinking about it to seeing it actually happen.

3. Research it/print it- This may sound a little from the Book “The Secret” but in order to see things come true you need to visualize them and it really does help to see an image everyday, that may be a trip to the Mexico or missions trip to Africa. See it, pray over it, get ‘er done.

4. Shipping date- This one sounds funny or odd but it’s from the book “Linchpin” Seth Godin says if you don’t set a date to something, you never get it done, I believe this to be true, so set a deadline, this will really push you to get you to focus and reach your goal with great intensity.
